Slack
The Bubbles for Slack app connects your Bubbles account to a Slack workspace so you can start recordings without leaving Slack and receive Bubbles notifications where your team already works.
What it does
- Slash commands —
/bubblesand/bubblebring up a quick action to start a recording (and a help view). - Account connection — the first time you use a command, Bubbles asks you to connect your Bubbles account to your Slack identity; after that, commands act as you.
- Notifications — Bubbles sends messages into Slack (for example, when a recording is ready), so your team sees updates in-channel.
- Interactive actions — buttons in those messages (such as Start recording) let you act directly from Slack.
Set it up
-
Add the app to your workspace. Install Bubbles for Slack from the Bubbles product (or your Slack app directory). Slack asks you to authorize the app; it requests the
commandsandincoming-webhookscopes so it can offer slash commands and post messages. -
Connect your Bubbles account. Run
/bubblesin any channel. If your Slack identity isn’t yet linked to a Bubbles account, the app replies with a Connect to Bubbles prompt — follow it once to link the two. A welcome message is posted when the app is first installed. -
Use it. Run
/bubbles(or/bubble) to start a recording. Addhelp(for example/bubbles help) to see the help view.
Commands

Troubleshooting
- The command asks me to connect every time — the connection links your Slack user to a Bubbles account. Complete the Connect to Bubbles prompt once; if it recurs, disconnect and reconnect the app so the link is re-stored.
- No notifications in Slack — confirm the app is still installed in the workspace and that the channel it posts to still exists; reinstalling re-establishes the incoming webhook.
